Vin Info: MOVING ONTO 2009 VINTAGE, THIS IS THE LAST FEW BOTTLES OF THE 2008 AND STILL DRINKING WELL.
This grape variety is locally known as Rolle but probably more recognised by its Italian name Vermentino. Strong aromatic nose of peaches and apricots, floral notes with a back note of lemons. The latter is confirmed on the palate which is clean adn envigorating. (Some bottles are showing tartrate crystals -sugar like crystals at the bottom) This is not a fault and doesn't affect the wine.

Vin Info: The grapes are grown in sandy soils from Maria Gomes grape and a little percentage of Arinto grape. Fermented in stainless steel vats and bottled young. Luis Pato makes some of the best still wines in Portugal. This white wine grown on 35 year old vines is a slightly peppery varietal not dissimilar to the Gruner Veltliner of Austria.
