Based in Friuli, in the north-eastern part of Italy, Massimo Di Lenardo produces some delightful wines. Here is the ‘apassimento’ dessert wine that offers great value. The grapes are picked early and then left to dry for 3 months whilst the sugar concentrates.
A deep golden in colour with notes of dried fruits, vanilla, spices and acacia honey. Great with hard cheeses! 500ml bottle (3/4 size) and 12% vol.
