As per their Macon-Villages wine, this is another treat.
Established back in 1864, it’s now run by the 5th generation with Andre Corsin and his two sons, Jean-Jacques & Gilles (no this is not a story rhyme!).
They have amalgamated just under 14 hectares of vines, all under Chardonnay. This wine comes from a plot with an average age of vines for 40 years, so the quality of fruit and intensity really shows through. The grapes are hand picked, sorted and cold soaked, being finally fermented in stainless steel – but up to 35% of the wine is matured in large oak barrels for 8 months, which gives the wine lovely roundness and balance.
White floral notes, peaches & cream. 14% vol.
