This is another Sauvignon Blanc from Domaine des Mazelles (also see our vn3457).
This wine has more structure and complexity: I know it sounds odd – however when you taste their straight Touraine against this Chenonceaux -Touraine* then you’ll know what I mean!
*a recently new smaller enclave/appellation of Touraine covering just 100 ha, linked to the wonderful Chateau Chenonceux, which I can highly recommend visiting.
It still has the classic zesty lemony citrus undertones with zingy acidity, but more developed from having spent longer on the lees and more time in bottle. 13% vol.
This is my summer wine of choice!
