Those of you who like and know about wines from Portugal, don’t need me to rabbit on about how they over deliver on quality.
But for those of who are no aware, Portugal has some amazingly good value wines from £8 – £20 a bottle and this is no exception.
We also list their ‘lighter’ style offering under the ‘Trinca Bolatas’ range but this is their ‘selection’ wine only made in good vintages. A blend of Aragonez (Tempranillo), Syrah and Alicante Bousquet ( the grape whose acutally pulp is red), so the wine is rich purple in colour. Ripe plums, smoky richness from 12 months barrel ageing, good spices, weight and balanced.
