Maison Chanzy Bourgogne Blanc 2020

This producer operates a small negociant (buying fruit from other growers) although 90% of the fruit for this wine now comes from their own vineyards: based in the Chalonnaise, Cotes de Beaune and Cotes de Nuits regions of Burgundy.

Lovely ripe apple and pears on the nose, good refreshing acidity with a hint of vanilla spice to add depth and concentration and the wine has good length. The wine is fermented in stainless steel vats then 40% of the wine spends 10 months in 350 litre oak barrels, the balance in stainless steel and then several further months prior to bottling.
