We tasted this recently with Emeric Petit of Chateau Tournefeille, who has created a mini-negociant business with some small liked minded neighbours of theirs.
Primarily a blend of Merlot 55% and Cabernet Sauvignon 45%, located 3km from St.Emilion in the commune Montagne de St. Emilion. The grapes are sourced from a small plot of 6 hectares with an average age of 35 years old; all hand picked and spend 25 days in contact with skins to extract lovely ruby /garnet colour. 12 – 14 months time in French oak barrels.
Ripe soft fruits, approachable tannins and shows some lovely development on the palate, drinking really well.
