This Château is located in the middle of the Margaux appellation. The soils are mainly made up of gravel on the top surface & clay subsoils, which helps ripen the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes (70% | 30%). This vintage started off fairly cool which delayed bud burst but then warmed up in summer to be an optimal growing season. Harvest started on 25th September with the Merlot and eventually finished on 11th October for the Cabernet.
This wine offers an exquisite bouquet of dark fruits and leathery smokiness, with an elegant and long persistence finish which will enable the wine to age gracefully. 13.37% vol. Santé!
