June News

Hot cold, hot cold… anyone would think I am a middle-aged man. Oh but I am, I so am!

Anyway, we hope you enjoyed the sunny weather whilst it lasted and have since managed to keep warm and dry!

Fingers crossed by the time you read this, exams will be in the final stretches or all done with and the glorious promise of summer ahead for them.

With the arrival of June, we’ve received a number of cracking new wines including some rosés and have some terrific offers across the board. Some of theese we’ll also be showcasing on our summer extravaganza on Friday 19th June at Hillers.

For Sauvignon Blanc lovers. we have 3 options, 3 different prices and 3 different countries!

We continue with the Holy Snail Sauvignon Blanc from Loire Valley, France 2025 down from £13.50 to £12.00 . People take their Rose wines seriously at this time of year and rightly so!

We have shipped Domaine Montrose Rosé for some 24 years now and is ably assisted this month by Les Cerisiers Cotes du Rhone 2025 Rosé on offer from £12.95 to £11.95, Coterie by Wildberg Rosé (£14.95 ) our new producer this year, Maison AIX en Provence Rosé £40.00 / £19.95 / £12.95 (150cl /75cl / 37.5cl bottles). Looking to dust down your BBQ? Well our ‘Wine of the Month’ from the Castano family in Southern Spain is perfect: this is the more premium and heartier Hécula made from 100% Monastrell (Mourvèdre) grapes, certified organic red from high quality, high altitude vineyards.

Better news still as this is normally £15.95, with it now only £13.95.

We had a brilliant Riesling tasting last month and showcased
S A Prum and Oliver Zeter Rieslings (£17.95) wines showed really well and are now all back in stock and start with Saskia’s fun fruit forward classy dry Riesling called Prum Solitair for just £15.95 to her ’Blue’ Vineyard Riesling for £24.95 to her iconic Sonnenuhr (Sundial) single vineyard Riesling for £28.95.
