Cataldi Madonna produces some of Italy’s greatest white wines of today and is regarded by wine experts as not only one of the top wineries in Abruzzo, but in Italy as well. Second generation winemaker, Luigi, followed in his father’s footsteps and brought the estate, which was originally founded in 1920, into stardom. In 1968, the estate underwent massive modernisation efforts, with vineyards being replanted, building renovations, and new technical equipment installation.
The wine is aged for at least 12 months in a combination of cement vats and stainless steel, followed by at least 3 months in bottle.
