This is another new wine from a recent tasting… and I was truly impressed.
Made by the Rioja producers DeAlto. However, here we are just across the border up in the hills of the wild and wonderful DO Region of Navarra.
All grapes are hand picked and fermented with wild yeasts and whole bunches. A small percentage of the wine spends 12 months in French oak barrels. Intense ripe Garnacha (Grenache noir) invites you on the nose backed up on the palate with generosity of fruit that you come to expect from this grape. Well balanced acidity and alcohol. 13.5%
