We were lucky enough to visit this estate in the summer of 2025, based in the heart of southern France and the Terraces de Larzac appellation.
Les Magnarelles is named after the women who in former times were responsible for raising the silkworm, of vital importance to the success of the estate and the wider region. Here this vintage is Mourvedre led, ably assisted by friends, Syrah, Grenache Noir, Cinsault and Carignan.
Traditional ferment in Inox vats with pumping over to extract colour but not too many tannins, letting the fruit and ‘terroir’ do the talking. Perfectly balanced at 13% vol and certified organic. Notes of Blackberries, touch of spice and the garrigues (wild scrubland)which surrounds the vineyards on all sides.
