Delighted to meet Maud again the other week: this estate is now owned and run by Maud Negrel, whose family have been making wine in Provence since 1813.
This wine is made in the sub-region (better vineyard sites predominately limestone soils) of Provence called Sainte-Victoire. This is a blend of Grenache Noir 45%, Cinsault 45% and Syrah 10%.
All farmed organically. The wine is a classic pale salmon pink in colour, notes of flowers and red fruits with crisp refreshing acidity. Drink now and over the next 2-3 years. 13% vol.
