Another Italian red expanding our already exciting range we have to offer you: this time from the classic Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. This estate is run by 3rd generation Menichettie family and whilst the estate covers 78 hectares including beautiful silver lined olive groves, they also have just over 20 hectares under vine, planted primarily with Sangiovese.
Once the grapes are handpicked and transferred back to the winery, they undergo fermentation in stainless steel vats with daily pumping over. Once fermentation is finished, the wine is then transferred to French oak barrels to mature for 10 months or so.
Certified organic and made from 100% Sangiovese the wine offers red/blackberry aromas, violet notes with a hint of oak, vanilla and spice. A wonderful broody red. 14% vol.
