Jonathan and I were super impressed with this wine from a recent trade tasting and we have listed their lighter more fruit forward Chianti Riserva for some years… but this is our first listing of this Chianti Classico from Uggiano.
Wonderful warm inviting aromas of ripe black fruit, morello cherry with floral hints and a touch of lightly spicy oak. The palate is richly-flavoured with plum, wild cherry fruit, balsamic notes and firm but ripe tannins – leading on to a long, dry and savoury finish. 13.5%
