Established by visionaries Mike & Robyn Tiller back in 1980 in the heart of Marlborough – and used to supply grapes to Cloudy Bay prior to 1994.
The company has since evolved and now owned by an Australian drinks company. The estate remains a leading player for producing quality wines with real expression. The fruit for this Sauvignon is handpicked and then cold soaked prior to fermentation at cool temperatures. This allows the wonderful freshness and aromatics of the grape to prevail, and a small proportion is fermented in french oak barrels (akin to Cloudy Bay, Greywacke, Dog Point Sauvignon’s), which provides extra weight and texture on the palate. 13% vol.
