Domaine Joseph Roty has been in the same family for twelve generations, since 1710. ‘We keep faith with real Burgundy!’ says Pierre-Jean who has been running the domaine for several years. Old vines and traditional
ways of working create wines of remarkable character and depth. All the bunches are destemmed, and bottling is without fining or filtration following the phases of the moon. The wines are capable of ageing for decades
and develop the most wonderful aromas and complexity with age. Pierre-Jean has been experimenting with different barrels over the last few vintages adding complexity and finesse.
An unquestionably great vintage, the 2022s have superb depth and energy. 13% vol.
