It’s a bit of a mouthful, but it’s worth it! In Vino Weix Weixelbaum Wahre Werte Weissburgunder.. phew! One of the best wines we have tasted recently. Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc to you and me) is beautifully displayed here in a wonderful wine which is a homage to the grandfather of the family.
The wine is full yet nuanced, with a core of apple, pear and stone fruit, and complex notes of orange zest and walnut. There are rich, creamy notes within the wine, balanced by great minerality and vibrant acidity. Vinified in 2000-litre oak barrels. This wine is drinking beautfully now, but has great ageing potential. 12.5% vol.
