Kloof Street, Swartland Rouge, 2021

This wine is made by Chris & Andrew Mullineux, who are some of the rock gods of the South African winemaking world (with the likes of other famous names such as Back, Finlayson, Mossop, Alhert, Jordan and Co.).

The wines are named after the street Chris and Andrea lived on in Riebeek-Kasteel when they started making their own wines. ( smallt town between Malmesbury and Tulbagh).

Kloof Street Rouge brims with beautiful dark berry fruit on both the nose and palate. This Swartland medley shows great balance, rounded with hints of holiday spice on the finish. Each variety in the blend adds depth to the wine – the Cinsault brings perfume, Tinta Barocca brings tannin, the Grenache brings fruit character, whislt the Syrah ties it all together. 14% vol. Practicing organic but not certified.
